The Vault GoWork Pro product line is a rugged, cable-free mobile POS solution that protects, charges, and enhances in-person transactions with support for multiple card readers. The goal with this development was to improve the user experience with a better cap installation/ removal experience, improve durability for drop protection and make it overall a better product.

Vision
Having experience in both ID and ME I was approached to advise on improving the design both in the design language. mechanical design, and user experience. I collaborated deeply with our manufacture to make sure that it could be manufactured and fit and feel were improved.
It was with this close collaboration we successfully design a case that can work with multiple phones sharing the body and replacing the cap depending on the phone. This case specially could work with iPhone 17, 16, 16e and 15.
better usability and improved DURABILITY
The clear goal was to ensure we improved the user experience of the cap install and removal process by making sure the mechanism had a locked snap design that wasn’t overly tough. With the overall goal to also improve production and strength of the case to meet the tough drop testing of 6 feet. The cap design was ideated multiple times to make sure the mechanism could not break and was built tough to endure many different users and phones.
